Norwalk’s Comprehensive Zoning Code Review: Public Input Meeting on October 16, 2024
The City of Norwalk’s Planning & Zoning Commission invites residents to participate in a hybrid public meeting to discuss updates to the City’s newly implemented comprehensive zoning code. Join us on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at 6:00 PM, either in person or online.
Norwalk’s zoning code received its first comprehensive update in 40 years, officially going into effect on February 19, 2024, following months of public outreach and input. However, while the new zoning regulations aimed to address the City’s evolving needs, the Planning & Zoning Commission acknowledged that adjustments might be necessary as the code is applied across different areas.
Over the past several months, the Commission has identified areas for potential improvement and now seeks further community input on these proposed modifications. While the updates won’t impact every property in Norwalk, this meeting provides an opportunity for residents to learn more, ask questions, and offer feedback on the proposed changes.
To review the proposed updates before the meeting, visit the Zoning Regulation Updates page. For background on the zoning code rewrite, visit the Zoning Regulation Update Materials.
Don’t miss this important chance to share your thoughts and help shape the future of Norwalk’s zoning regulations!
